Over the past 8 years, she has attended and spoke at numerous City Council Meetings expressing her concerns and vision for Jonesboro. She is a former owner of a successful retail store in Jonesboro. Along with a friend, she has helped raise funds and organized clean-up of the historic Pine Hill Cemetery. For this they received a commendation from the Mayor.
